What do you get when you mix amazing models and killer classic cars? A very happy Black Queen lol. I had the pleasure of participating in a styled shoot with a James Bond theme. There were seven different models to work with and several classic cars. We had the session at Presidio Park in San Diego, CA.
I actually found out about this shoot the day before the actual session. Honestly, I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect when I signed up for the shoot. I saw some of the models and it was advertised that there would be classic cars, but I wasn’t sure how many or what kind of classic cars there would be. The shoot location was Presidio Park which I had been to before, but it had been awhile. I definitely drove around a few times before I found the group. I knew I was in the right spot because I drove past all the classic cars.
I parked my car and hopped out. I initially wasn’t going to grab my lighting gear because I didn’t want to be awkward with all of my lighting gear. I am so glad that I took my lighting gear out and used it. It elevated my images to a whole other level. I started out the shoot photographing Selina Hall. Selina Hall is a San Diego based model. We have seen each other around the creative circuit here in San Diego, but we have never worked together before. She was dressed as Jinx. We started off the shoot in front of a purple Crown Vic
I absolutely this image here. I used my Geekoto GT200 off-camera flash and Magmod Octabox. In order to get the lighting set for this image, I initially exposed for the sky with my flash trigger turned off. Once the sky was properly exposed, I turned on my flash and got the settings how I liked it.
