So I had the privilege of photographing this amazing family back in February for a family photoshoot. When I tell you this family came ready to slay…bay-bay…READY TO SLAY. The mom actually found me on Google (yay SEO seems to be working lol). We communicated back and forth and she told me of her awesome vision. She wanted to have a white shoot and a formal all-black shoot. This client’s session would actually be the first time I shot a white session.
We ended up heading to my favorite studio, Hendo Studios, for this session. The studio actually worked out great for what we needed because there was an all-white cyclorama wall and an awesome large white throne chair. When the family first walked in I was like whew! I knew we were about to create some magic. We started out photographing the daughter first while the mom and dad finished getting ready..she was a complete natural in front of the camera. (I wish I was that comfortable in front of a camera lol.)
Now, don’t get it twisted, Mom and Dad did not come to play either. Mom had on this amazing white dress and cute blue shoes and Dad had on white pants, white shirt, jean jacket with white and brown fur, this awesome hat, and matching shoes. I loved the vibe Mom and Dad had.
The family was so fly together and I loved it. They are a great example of having coordinating outfits without looking matchy matchy. Their outfits were also a stylish take on the white t-shirt/blue jeans look. I could also tell each person felt comfortable in their outfit because they exuded confidence. If you are planning a family photo session, make sure you are putting each family member in something they are comfortable in, especially younger kids. You don’t want family members feeling irritable because they don’t feel like they look their best.
I had so much fun creating this awesome family photoshoot! If they rocked their white session this hard, I can’t wait to see the fire they bring for their black session. Click the button below to book your free family session consultation!
